The Abbots Barton Hotel in Canterbury has launched a fundraising partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, the cancer care charity, to help raise money for people affected by cancer. Abbots Barton, part of the Castlewood Group, will host events such as 'Pimms on the Lawn' and 'The Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning'.
Macmillan in Canterbury has a team of professionals at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital including brast cancer nurse specialists and an information radiotherapy specialist. Local patients also recieve Macmillan financial grants which last year totalled over £200,000 across the county.
Macmillan and the Abbots Barton will work in partnership throughout this year and into 2011, the charities Centenary Year.
